Bootham is one of very few schools offering 110% bursaries – going beyond tuition to ensure students are fully supported. As a Quaker school, we are driven by a commitment to equality, compassion and access to education, and our bursary programme reflects those values in action.
A bursary doesn't just change a school experience, it can change the entire direction of a life. Bursary students often go on to be the first in their family to attend university, becoming doctors, teachers, campaigners, and changemakers – carrying Bootham's ethos into the wider world.
Every gift makes a difference. While some donors may be able to support a full bursary, others contribute monthly to help fund books, kit, school trips or transport. Together, this collective support has a powerful, lasting impact.
